Phoenix Dragon Carved Wood Chest

This stunning hand-carved wooden chest is a remarkable example of traditional Chinese craftsmanship, likely dating from the mid-20th century. Meticulously detailed on all sides, it features intricate dragon and phoenix motifs surrounded by auspicious clouds and floral patterns—symbols of power, harmony, and prosperity in Chinese culture. The front is adorned with a large central Shou (longevity) character, making it not only a functional storage piece but also a meaningful decorative statement.

The top panel continues the ornate carving, framed with floral borders, and the chest stands on carved claw-and-ball feet, enhancing its commanding presence.
