Antique Wooden Dash Butter Churn

Authentic antique wooden butter churn featuring traditional stave construction secured with bentwood hoops and retaining its original wooden dash (plunger). This hand-crafted churn was used to make butter by repeatedly plunging the perforated dasher through cream until the butter separated from the buttermilk. A small drain hole near the base allowed the buttermilk to be removed after churning. Today, these churns are highly sought after as farmhouse, country, and primitive décor pieces.

The churn has developed a beautiful natural aged patina from decades of use, with honest wear that adds to its character. It displays well in kitchens, cabins, country homes, museums, or antique collections.
