A charming little 19th-century copper-luster creamer with a rounded baluster body and simple loop handle. The metallic glaze still flashes warmly under light, making it a lovely accent for a lusterware grouping or a cottage-style shelf.
Materials: Earthenware pottery with copper-luster (metallic) overglaze; clear glazed interior and base.
Style / Theme: Victorian / Georgian cottage; farmhouse; traditional English ceramics. Theme of classic copper lusterware with warm reflective sheen.
Age: Circa 1830–1860 (mid-19th century).
Size: Approx. 4 in wide (spout to handle) × 3 in tall.
Condition: Good antique condition with honest age wear. Expected surface rubbing and speckling to the luster, small scuffs and utensil marks, minor glaze crazing and base wear; no evident repairs on inspection of the photos. Displays beautifully but shows typical 160-190 year patina.
Maker / Brand: Unmarked, in the manner of Staffordshire potteries producing copper lusterware during the mid-1800s.
Country of origin: England (attributed).
Food safety: Not recommended for food or drink use due to historic lead-bearing glazes common to antique lusterware. Best used for decorative purposes.
